Welcome to My Quest!

Welcome to the part of me that makes the rest of me smile. Welcome to my creative side.

"Your creative side?", you ask.

Yes, my creative side. We have many different sides, and no, I am not talking about mashed potatoes with gravy, corn on the cob, or fluffy, buttered biscuits, so stop drooling all over your computer screen! I am talking about what is inSIDE... that part of you that comes out in everything you do. Well, mine is expressed through creativity.

From an early age, I enjoyed to draw, I loved to create, and I needed to write! It was my escape from reality. The characters in my stories were my best friends, for you see, in real life, I had no friends. In my stories, I could be anybody, do anything, and never mess up... They provided an outlet for, yes my creative juices, but also for all the penned up emotion inside of me that I was scared to express in the real world. They were where I could be me, the real me, the me on the inside that no one could see.

I STILL enjoy to draw, love to create, and NEED to write, albeit for different reasons. I do not wish to escape from my world anymore, for my world is perfect now that GOD is such a part of it. My circumstances may not be perfect. My life may not be exactly how I want it, but it is exactly how GOD wants it, and that is exactly how I want it to be... and stay. My need for writing is more like an insatiable thirst for the richest chocolate cream pie topped with hershey's shavings. It is something I MUST do, or I will simply bust at the seams!

I wish to use this need to express myself to bring honor to my GOD and Savior, as I also wish my life to do. In order for my life to please HIM, as a married mother of three small children, I am striving to become the best wife, mother, and homemaker I can be. Please follow me on my journey, my life long quest, to be the humble homemaker HE wishes me to become!

Until Next Time, Nishoni L. Harvey

  1. A really great starting page! How about a bigger photo of yourself and a little about who and where you are too?
